Job summary

Henley Chase is recruiting an Intermediate Site Engineer for nationwide projects, based from Wakefield with one day per week at the office. The role focuses on accurate setting out, surveying, and supporting complex construction works across the UK.

The candidate should have a Civil Engineering or related degree and 2–5 years' experience, with strong interpretation of drawings and readiness to travel. A permanent role with long-term development is offered.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years' experience since graduating
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or related discipline
• Confident carrying out setting out independently
• Good understanding of construction methods (concrete works)
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings
• Willing to travel across the UK

Responsibilities

• Carrying out accurate setting out and setting out checks
• Using levels and other surveying equipment
• Supporting the delivery of complex and technically challenging construction works
• Liaising with Contract Engineers and the wider site delivery team
• Providing technical support to site teams and chargehands
• Monitoring and checking works to ensure drawings are met
