Job summary

Henley Chase is seeking an Intermediate Site Engineer to join our growing construction team delivering projects nationwide from Wakefield. The role is primarily site-based with around one day per week in the Wakefield office and starts ASAP.

The first project is Romford, Essex, a large, complex scheme requiring strong technical support, accurate setting out and close coordination with Contract Engineers and site teams.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years' experience since graduating from university.
• Degree or qualification in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Confident carrying out setting out independently.

Responsibilities

• Carry out accurate setting out and setting out checks.
• Use levels and other surveying equipment.
• Support the delivery of complex and technically challenging construction works.
• Liaise with Contract Engineers and the wider site delivery team.
• Provide technical support to site teams and chargehands.
• Monitor and check works to ensure they align with drawings.
• Support concrete works aspects and related tasks.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Work primarily on site with weekly Wakefield office attendance.
• Travel to and work on projects nationwide.
