Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is seeking a Site Engineer to join the Lower Thames Crossing project. You will support the Design Engineering team on-site, delivering setting out, inspections and coordination for 43 bridges and 17km of complex highways works.

Key duties include safety leadership, daily diary production, progress reporting and ensuring alignment with drawings and permits. A CSCS card, driving licence and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working on major highways or civils projects.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and schedules.
• Knowledge of safety systems and permit processes.

Responsibilities

• Control and implement works on site to programme.
• Support Design Engineering team on Lower Thames Crossing works.
• Produce daily diaries, daily records and progress updates.
• Read and interpret drawings, schedules and specifications.
• Use Navisworks for model navigation and coordination.
