Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Site Engineer for the KierBAM team based in Plymouth, Devonport Royal Dockyard. You’ll help manage technical compliance to design specs, ensuring safety, on-time delivery, and top quality on a live MOD site.

The role requires qualifications in Civil/Construction fields, experience with reinforced concrete systems, Leica survey equipment, RAMS, and appropriate site safety training. Weekend work may be needed.

Qualifications

Civil Engineering or construction qualification (HNC, BSc, MSc, BEng or MEng) and may be working towards Chartership.
Experience with reinforced concrete structures using system formwork and familiarity with Leica survey equipment.
Comfortable with Quality Management Systems and RAMS writing.
Holds Supervisor HSE test, SSSTS, and CSCS Card (White PQP/AQP or Red Trainee or Red Provisional).
Team player with strong organisational skills and flexibility to work weekends if required.

Responsibilities

Assist in managing technical compliance to design specifications and ensure safety, on time, and to high quality standards.
Assist in preparing as-built drawings and establish systems to record completed work.
Develop quality check sheets and carry out quality checks, surveys, and site inspections.
Set out works within tolerances and regularly check setting out points and benchmarks.
Provide engineering support and assist in procurement of site materials.
Maintain drawing registers, daily diaries, and trackers.
