Job summary

KierBAM is seeking a Site Engineer to join the Plymouth-based redevelopment at Devonport Royal Dockyard. You will assist in managing technical compliance to design specs and ensure works are delivered safely, on time and to high quality standards.

We require a civil/ construction qualification, experience with system formwork and Leica survey, and holder of CSCS/SSSTS. The role includes site checks, QA documentation, and collaboration across teams on a challenging MOD project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or higher civil/construction qualification; chartership progress is acceptable.
• Experience with reinforced concrete structures using system formwork.
• Familiar with Leica Survey equipment.
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and RAMS writing.
• Hold a Supervisor HSE test, SSSTS, and CSCS Card.

Responsibilities

Job description

be responsible for? As a Site Engineer, you'll be working within the WRB Section team, supporting them in delivering this important redevelopment project.

• Assisting in the preparation of as-built drawings and establishing effective systems to record completed work
• Participating in developing quality check sheets and carrying out quality checks, surveys, and site inspections
• Setting out works within allowable tolerances and regularly checking setting out points and benchmarks
• Providing engineering support to overcome technical problems and assist in procurement of site materials
• Maintaining drawing registers, completing daily diaries, and keeping trackers up to date

What are we looking for?

• You hold a Civil Engineering or construction related qualification (HNC, BSc, MSc, BEng, or MEng) and may be working towards Chartership
• You have experience in reinforced concrete structures using system formwork and are familiar with Leica Survey equipment
• You're comfortable with Quality Management Systems, writing RAMS, and possess strong IT skills
• You hold a Supervisor HSE test, SSSTS, and CSCS Card (White PQP/AQP or Red Trainee or Red Provisional)
• You're a team player with excellent organisational skills and flexibility to work weekends when required
