Job summary

EDF is seeking an on-site Engineer to lead heavy lift and transport solutions for UK infrastructure projects. You will develop lift plans, perform risk assessments and coordinate with clients, site teams and engineering functions on complex lifting operations.

The role requires a strong engineering background, site experience on large-scale projects, and proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office. It offers varied rotations, extensive benefits, and a path within EDF's nuclear sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; Masters desirable.
• Proven site exposure on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
• Experience in heavy lift transport, shipping, or lifting markets with delivery targets.
• Experience with lifting operations using mobile, tower, and crawler cranes.
• Client-facing engineering experience.
• Familiarity with relevant technical codes and standards.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering expertise on-site to develop practical lifting/transport solutions.
• Produce and review drawings, lift plans, risk assessments, and method statements.
• Oversee lifting activities ensuring safety, efficiency and quality.
• Conduct site surveys and provide practical solutions for live lifting operations.
• Act as the primary contact between client, site teams and engineering functions.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records throughout the project lifecycle.
