Job summary

Murphy is recruiting for a Site Engineer to join our Ground Engineering Team at our Ollerton office, Nottingham. You will work on civil engineering projects, ensuring setting out accuracy and strict adherence to health and safety standards.

You will review drawings, manage QA sign-offs, and coordinate with the project team and clients. A CSC S card, surveying and CAD skills, and strong communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• CSCS Card and relevant competency skills for site roles.
• Experience with setting out and surveying on civil projects.
• Proficiency with CAD techniques and reading drawings.
• Familiarity with total station surveying equipment.

Responsibilities

• Promote health, safety and environmental standards on site.
• Ensure accurate setting out methods and techniques are implemented on site.
• Review drawings and specifications for completeness; request missing information.
• Carry out quality checks in line with procedures.
• Communicate effectively with foremen and supervisors on technical information.
• Support and mentor junior engineers.
• Assist in development of temporary works design schemes.
• Maintain daily site records and progress sign-offs.
