Murphy is hiring a Site Engineer (mechanical) to lead development and delivery of water and wastewater projects in the North of England, primarily the Southport Project. The ideal candidate has a mechanical background and site experience managing works involving mechanical equipment.

A hands-on role focused on health and safety, temporary works, and ensuring accurate drawings and specifications, with strong client and team communication across the project lifecycle.

Formación

• Experience in Construction or Civil Engineering projects.
• Experience with ITPs, RAMs & Temporary Works.
• Excellent knowledge of current civil engineering legislation as well as Health & Safety and Environmental legislation.
• Ability to discuss engineering issues with people across levels and disciplines.
• Ability to produce, implement and manage safe systems of work for construction procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Establish and promote best practice in health, safety and environmental matters with SHQE.
• Assist with temporary works design schemes.
• Maintain good relations with client/designer/Team and supply chain.
• Advise engineers on setting out methods and techniques.
• Ensure drawings/specifications contain sufficient information for construction; request missing info timely.
• Communicate with foremen and supervisors to ensure understanding of information.
• Oversee selection and requisition of materials and plant.
• Prepare risk assessments and method statements for work control.
• Keep a full daily site diary with changes, subcontracts, and discussions with client/designer/project team.
• Ensure inspection and test plans are completed as required by PMP/Specification.
