Job summary

Murphy is recruiting for a Site Engineer to work with our Ground Engineering Team on site supporting the delivery of major civil projects in the Lower Thames Crossing. You will promote best practice in health, safety and environmental standards and ensure accurate setting out is implemented on site.

With at least 3 years in civil engineering, you will review drawings, monitor QA processes, mentor junior engineers, and coordinate with foremen, clients and the supply chain to keep projects on

Qualifications

• CSCS Card required.
• Minimum 3 years in civil engineering projects.
• Experience with CAD and setting out methods.
• Knowledge of QA sign-off and handover processes.
• Strong communication with management and site teams.

Responsibilities

• Promote health, safety and environmental standards on site.
• Ensure accurate setting out methods are implemented on site.
• Review drawings and specifications for completeness and request missing information.
• Carry out quality checks in line with company and project procedures.
• Mentor assistants, graduates and junior engineers on site.
• Identify, coach and develop key staff within the team.
