Job summary

O'Neill & Brennan are recruiting a Site Engineer for a major Bath construction project. In this role you will support delivery with setting out, surveying, and QA across disciplines, ensuring works comply with drawings, specs and programme.

You will coordinate with Site Managers and subcontractors, review technical drawings, and maintain accurate site records. A proactive, detail-focused engineer with Tier 1/2 experience is sought for a temporary-to-permanent appointment.

Qualifications

• Experience as Site Engineer with a recognised Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor.
• Involvement in projects valued at £20m+.
• Strong setting out and surveying capabilities with relevant equipment.
• Excellent understanding of drawings, tolerances, and QA procedures.
• Experience coordinating activities with site management and subcontractors.
• Strong technical problem solving and attention to detail.
• Proactive, organised and dependable approach to site engineering.
• Consistent employment history with verifiable references.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking setting out and surveying duties across designated areas and packages.
• Ensuring works are completed accurately per drawings, specs and programme.
• Coordinating with Site Managers, subcontractors and project team to maintain progress.
• Reviewing drawings, identifying discrepancies and resolving engineering queries.
• Managing QA documentation, inspection records and reporting.
• Supporting RAMS preparation and ensuring HSE compliance.
• Monitoring subcontractor works for conformance with design and tolerances.
• Maintaining site records, as-built data and survey information.
• Identifying and helping resolve technical or programme issues.
