Job summary

Contract Scotland is seeking a Site Engineer for a long-term freelance contract at Dounreay, Scotland. The role focuses on quality assurance, inspections, and project documentation on a substation project. Accommodation is provided, with a Monday–Friday pattern and up to 6 months on site.

The candidate will prepare, review and complete ITPs, perform QA checks, and maintain project records while ensuring QA procedures are followed and liaise with site teams to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Site Engineer or in a similar civil engineering role.
• Experience with ITPs, quality inspections and quality documentation.
• Good understanding of construction quality assurance procedures.
• Valid CSCS card.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Site Engineer to support a substation project in Dounreay on a freelance contract of up to 6 months. This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Engineer looking to move into a more office-based role, focusing on quality assurance, inspections and project documentation.

With accommodation provided and a Monday to Friday working pattern, this could be an ideal opportunity for someone looking for a long-term contract over the winter months.

Key Responsibilities
