Murphy is recruiting a Site Engineer to join our Ground Engineering Team in Nottingham. The role focuses on setting out, safety, quality checks and collaboration with foremen, supervisors and project staff on site.

You will review drawings, ensure setting out methods are applied, mentor junior staff and participate in RAMS and handover documentation. A CSCS card and strong civil engineering experience are essential.

Qualifications

• CSCS Card is required for all roles.
• Minimum 3 years proven experience in civil engineering projects.
• Ability to produce, implement and manage safe systems of work for construction procedures.
• Proven experience and training with surveying/CAD techniques.
• Ability to read drawings and specifications and communicate with management.

Responsabilités

• Promote best practice in health, safety and environmental standards with the SHQE team.
• Ensure accurate setting out methods and techniques on site.
• Review drawings and specifications for completeness and request missing information promptly.
• Carry out quality checks in line with company and project procedures.
• Communicate effectively with foremen and supervisors to ensure understanding of technical requirements and mentoring.
• Assist in development and coordination of temporary works design schemes.
• Identify, coach and develop key staff within the team.
• Monitor site activities to address unsafe conditions and ensure compliance with policies.
• Maintain relationships with clients, designers, project team and supply chain.
• Support material and plant requisitions and contribute to RAMS and handover documentation.
• Track and maintain progressive sign offs and prepare handover documentation.
