Job summary

Highfield Professional Solutions Ltd is recruiting for a Site Engineer for a major infrastructure project in Milford Haven. The role is on a 12-month contract with day rates of 430–450 Umbrella PAYE, Monday–Friday with potential nights and weekends.

Responsibilities include setting out and surveying using a Total Station, supporting the new car park at the train station, and coordinating with Site Agents and Project Managers to ensure works progress to programme.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Site Engineer on civil/highways/rail or infrastructure projects.
• Strong setting out experience and ability to use Total Station confidently.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Site Engineer

Location: Milford Haven

Contract: 12 months

Rate: 430 - 450 per day Umbrella PAYE

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, with potential nights/weekends

Enhanced Rates: Uplifted rates available for night and weekend working

A major infrastructure project in Milford Haven is currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join the project on an initial 12-month contract. The role will involve supporting the delivery of a new car park for a train station, incorporating associated facilities including a bus depot and taxi rank. The successful Site Engineer will have strong setting out experience and be confident using a Total Station across civil engineering and infrastructure works.

Key Responsibilities

• Setting out and surveying using a Total Station.


• Supporting the delivery of the new train station car park and associated infrastructure.


• Setting out and monitoring works in accordance with drawings and specifications.


• Working closely with Site Agents, Project Managers and the wider engineering team.


• Checking works against approved drawings and specifications.


• Supporting quality control and ensuring works are delivered accurately.


• Identifying and resolving engineering issues on site.


• Maintaining accurate site records and as-built information.


• Liaising with subcontractors and site management to ensure works progress to programme.


• Supporting the safe and efficient delivery of the project.

Experience Required

• Previous experience working as a Site Engineer on civil engineering, highways, rail or infrastructure projects.


• Strong setting out experience.


• Proficient in the use of Total Station equipment.


• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.


• Good understanding of construction processes and site engineering requirements.


• Strong communication and organisational skills.


• Ability to work effectively as part of a wider site team.
