Job summary

Roc Search is seeking an experienced Site Engineer on a contract basis to support a major UK energy infrastructure project in North Wales. You will inspect access structures, review drawings, and coordinate with site teams to ensure works comply with project specs. Emphasis on safety, QA/QC, and accurate record-keeping.

The role requires civil/structural engineering background and a CSCS card. SSSTS/SMSTS and confined-space training are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience as Site or Setting Out Engineer on power, energy, petrochemical, oil & gas, or heavy industrial projects.
• Strong civil and structural engineering background.
• CSCS card is essential.
• SSSTS/SMSTS and Confined Space training are advantageous.
• Contract role on major UK energy infrastructure project.

Site Engineer - Contract

We are looking for an experienced Site Engineer to join a major low-carbon power generation project in North Wales. Working with the site delivery team, you'll support the inspection and delivery of civil and structural works, ensuring all activities are completed safely, accurately, and in line with project specifications. The initial scope will focus on access structures, including handrails, stairs, and ladders, with a straightforward inspection and reporting process.

Key Responsibilities

• Review technical drawings and ensure works meet project specifications.
• Coordinate with site management and subcontractors.
• Complete site inspections, reports, and maintain accurate project records.
• Support QA/QC processes and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Site or Setting Out Engineer on power, energy, petrochemical, oil & gas, or heavy industrial projects.
• Strong civil, structural engineering background.
• Experience on COMAH or regulated sites is desirable.
• CSCS Card essential.
• SSSTS/SMSTS and Confined Space training are advantageous.
