Job summary

RTL Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Site Engineer in Sunderland to join a civil engineering team delivering renewable energy projects. You will set out using total station and GPS, supervise on-site activities with the PM team, and ensure works meet strict health and safety standards and project specifications.

Role requires CSCS card, driving licence, and right to work in the UK; SSSTS/SMSTS are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with setting out earthworks, duct installations, troughs, and RC bases.
• CSCS card is required; SSSTS/SMSTS preferred.
• Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Set out using total station and GPS and work with the PM team.
• Supervise site activities and ensure works meet methodology and specs.
• Ensure health and safety compliance on site.
• Maintain documentation and on-site records; ensure timely delivery.

I am working alongside a leading civil engineering contractor who are currently looking to hire an experienced Site Engineer due to a number of new contracts being awarded. My client operates across the civils sector on renewable energy projects.

Site Engineer responsibilities:

• Setting out using total station & GPS.
• Working alongside the project management team.
• Site supervision.
• Ensuring health and safety compliance.
• Ensuring works are being carried out in accordance to agreed methodology and method.
• Ensuring the correct documentation is held on site.
• Ensuring works are completed on time and to specification.

Site Engineer requirements:

• Experience with setting out earthworks, duct installations, troughs, and RC bases.
• Right to work in the UK.
• CSCS card.
• SSSTS/SMSTS ticket holder (preferable).
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong communication skills.
