Job summary

RTL Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join our civil engineering teams on renewable energy projects in the UK. The role focuses on setting out via total station and GPS, coordinating with project management, and supervising site activities to meet safety, quality, and schedule targets.

The candidate will contribute to on-site documentation, ensure adherence to methodologies, and support delivery across multiple contracts in the civils sector.

Qualifications

• Experience setting out earthworks, duct installations, troughs and RC bases.
• Strong communication and site coordination skills.
• SSSTS/SMSTS ticket preferred.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

I am working alongside a leading civil engineering contractor who are currently looking to hire an experienced Site Engineer due to a number of new contracts being awarded. My client operates across the civils sector on renewable energy projects.

Site Engineer responsibilities:

• Setting out using total station & GPS. Works include earthworks, duct installations, troughs, and RC bases.
• Working alongside the project management team.
• Site supervision.
• Ensuring health and safety compliance.
• Ensuring works are being carried out in accordance to agreed methodology and method.
• Ensuring the correct documentation is held on site.
• Ensuring works are completed on time and to specification.

Site Engineer requirements:

• Experience with setting out earthworks, duct installations, troughs, and RC bases.
• Right to work in the UK.
• CSCS card
• SSSTS/SMSTS ticket holder (preferable)
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong communication skills.
