Job summary

Fawkes & Reece Group is recruiting a Site/Senior Engineer to join a leading Tier 1 Main Contractor on permanent basis. The role covers a range of schemes regionally, valued £10m–£200m, with emphasis on setting out, RAMS, quality and programme delivery.

You will oversee site activities, coordinate sub-contractors, manage labours, and ensure compliance with policies and contractual drawings. A strong track record on large-scale schemes is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification is required.
• Proven track record in setting out large-scale schemes and site supervision.
• Valid driving licence and relevant site safety credentials (CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid).

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise site activities to meet contract requirements.
• Coordinate sub-contractors, labour, designers and clients on site.
• Ensure RAMS are prepared, approved and followed for all works.
• Set out and maintain precise alignments and tolerances per drawings.
• Monitor NCRs, quality, safety compliance and programme deadlines.

Our client a leading TIER 1 Main Contractor are recruiting for a Site/Senior Engineer to join them on a permanent basis. You'll be working on a variety of schemes throughout the region ranging in value from £10m-£200m.

What you will be doing

• The successful candidate will have a wide and varied remit making full use of their experience and skills.
• Ensure all site activities are undertaken in compliance with policies and procedures.
• Ensure all site personnel, including subcontractors, designers, clients, staff, visitors and others are inducted and have approved risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) in place.
• Supervise and monitor the direct site labour force and monitor, coordinate and manage sub-contractors.
• Managing and coordinating sub contract packages.
• Assist the Project team to ensure the works are constructed to the quality required by the Contract Drawings and specification.
• Producing technical support to production teams.
• Produce RAMS for directly employed labour and approve RAMS for other elements of the work.
• Record, submit and monitor Non-conformance Reports (NCR) and maintain the NCR register.
• Ensure accurate setting out and dimensional control within specified tolerances.
• Ensure drawings, specifications and other contract documents are kept up to date.
• Ensure that the project programme is available and communicated to the supply chain prior to works commencing.
