Job summary

MGR Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Site Engineer for a major infrastructure project near Plymouth. The role involves accurate setting out, establishing survey control, and monitoring works to ensure compliance with designs. A long-term scheme offers stability and progression.

Requirements include a civil engineering qualification and experience with Leica survey equipment. CSCS card and relevant training are needed; desirable: groundworks or nuclear experience.

Qualifications

• A civil engineering or construction-related qualification (HNC, BSc, BEng, MEng or similar).
• Background in surveying or site engineering.
• CSCS card (White PQP/AQP, or Red Trainee/Provisional).
• Desirable: TWS/TWC, First Aid at Work, ITP experience, groundworks/earthworks background or nuclear experience.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Engineer to join a leading civil engineering contractor on a major infrastructure project based near Plymouth. This long-term scheme, situated on a high-profile marine development, is expected to continue beyond 2029, offering genuine stability and career progression.

Duties:

• Carrying out accurate setting out for construction works
• Establishing and maintaining survey control across site
• Monitoring works to ensure compliance with design specifications
• Supporting machine control and ensuring accuracy of operations

Requirements:

• A civil engineering or construction-related qualification (HNC, BSc, BEng, MEng or similar)
• Confident with Leica survey equipment - GPS, total station and levels
• Background in surveying or site engineering
• CSCS card (White PQP/AQP, or Red Trainee/Provisional)
• Desirable: TWS/TWC, First Aid at Work, ITP experience, groundworks/earthworks background or nuclear experience
