Job summary

Carmichael UK is recruiting an experienced Site Engineer to join the HS2 infrastructure project in Buckinghamshire. This long-term role requires implementing precise setting out, managing ITPs, and delivering QA across earthworks and structures with a Tier 1 contractor.

The ideal candidate will have proven civil/site engineering experience, strong setting out, and extensive knowledge of QA procedures, drawings, and technical documentation, plus CSCS and full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Site Engineer on major civil/infrastructure projects.
• Strong setting out experience with GPS/total station.
• Extensive knowledge of ITPs, QA and quality management procedures.
• Experience working with drawings, specifications and technical documentation.

• Producing and maintaining as-built records
• Preparing, reviewing and managing Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
• Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with specifications and quality standards
• Leading and driving Quality Assurance (QA) processes on site
• Completing inspections, quality records and associated documentation
• Liaising with site teams, subcontractors and management
• Supporting the delivery team with technical queries and engineering solutions

This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term role on a major civils project, working alongside a leading Tier 1 contractor delivering complex earthworks, structures and infrastructure packages.
