Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) in Slough seeks a diligent Electrical/Mechanical Engineer to maintain site systems and manage proactive maintenance tasks. You will coordinate PPMs, reactive work, and vendor visits, ensuring reports are concise and accurate for clients.

You will monitor energy usage, act to reduce consumption, and uphold JLL safety standards. Strong IT/reporting skills and the ability to work under pressure are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified electrical/MEP engineer with hands-on maintenance experience.
• Experience with planned and reactive maintenance in facilities.
• Familiarity with safety standards and compliance processes.

Job description

• Operate all systems within the facility in a competent, effective and efficient manner. Making recommendations for improvement and providing concise technical reports when required.
• Completing PPM's and Reactive works across the sites
• Working closely with the engineering team you should ensure that for Specialist Vendors visits have been prepared and approved by the site FMs.
• Attend and deliver weekly operations meetings, client meetings as requested.
• Supporting CAFM systems and helpdesk, keeping within "green" SLA's & KPI's.
• Ensure the asset database and are correct and up to date.
• To monitor utilities usage and report to the Account Team on any abnormalities or energy savings.
• Management of onsite critical spares including maintaining site stock register and monthly auditing.
• Ensure all critical equipment operational issues are brought to the Customers attention immediately and provide all relevant reports with recommendations.
• Proactively promote a "Safety First" culture in line with the JLL Cardinal Rules of Safety are adhered to by all engineering teams.
• Electrical/Mechanical Engineer.
• 18th Edition IEE: Wiring and Installation desirable.
• C&G 2391 test and inspection; BS 7671:2001 for inspection, testing and certification.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to deal with all levels of staff.
• Proactive in achieving the highest standard of operation.
• Have good IT and report writing skills.
• Ability to work under pressure whilst remaining calm, clear thinking and able to deliver the required services to the client within given time constraints.
• Individuals who can demonstrate commitment and previous experience; but not meet all the required technical qualifications may be considered subject to approval.
• Demonstrate a willingness to attend on and off-site training for MEP assets, this may require nights away from home due to the nature of the specialist training such as HV Authorised Person Training.
• A high level of initiative, with drive to continuously improve the operation.

• Ability to comprehend and act upon both verbal and written instructions
• Enthusiasm and demonstration of pro-activity, diligence, and alertness, with the willingness to participate in appropriate internal training programmes.
