JLL is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Operative to join our team in a busy shopping centre. You will perform planned and reactive electrical maintenance, log activities in CAFM, and coordinate with engineers and clients to uphold safety and service quality.

The role requires strong building services knowledge, formal electrical qualifications, and flexibility to work standby and weekends as part of a rolling rota. On-site work in Bristol with a team-focused, safety-driven environment.

Competenze

• Substantial practical experience with building services across electrical disciplines.
• City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Electrical and NVQ Level 3 in Electrical are required.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) and AM2 qualification are essential.

Mansioni

• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance, liaising with engineers, subcontractors and clients.
• Ensure compliance with risk management procedures and complete documentation, including CAFM updates.
• Support standby rota for emergency calls outside normal hours.

Role Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team as a Electrical Maintenance Operative. The team is multi skilled and this role provides an opportunity to learn new skills and share your talent. You will be carrying out pre-planned and reactive maintenance recorded on JLL’s CAFM system as well as many other tasks that working in a busy shopping centre requires

Duties and Responsibilities

• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance, ensuring standards are maintained and liaising with engineers, subcontractors, and clients to address concerns.
• Ensure compliance with business risk management procedures and complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time, including CAFM system updates.
• Maintain a proactive approach to client liaison, ensuring effective communication and escalation of concerns where necessary
• Support operational requirements including participation in standby rota for emergency calls outside normal working hours.
• Demonstrate flexibility, strong teamwork, leadership qualities, and a ‘can do’ attitude while maintaining high standards across electrical and building services systems.
• Keep and maintain all company issued tools in a safe and serviceable manner.
• Ensure accurate detailed reporting and elevate issues where required.
• Ensure that all materials and equipment are handled, stored, and used with due regard to the relevant Health, Safety and Environmental legislation.
• Actively participate in the health and safety processes required under JLL policies and procedures including, but not limited to, completing risk assessments, reporting good catch /near miss observations, adhering to COSHH guidance.
• Undertake any other reasonable instruction from the Contract Manager.
• Additional training will be provided as necessary.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

• Substantial practical experience with a comprehensive knowledge of all building services disciplines.
• City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Electrical.
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
• AM2 Qualification.
• Experience in a technical estates or facilities management environments.
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
• Willing to work flexibly within a team.
• Ability to work to time constraints while maintaining high standards and attention to detail.
• Smart appearance, presentable.
• Able to work unsupervised.
• Adaptable and flexible approach to work requirements, willing to accept change.
• Customer focused.
• Reliable.
