Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking an Electrical/Mechanical Engineer to operate and maintain facility systems in Slough. You will complete PPMs and Reactive works, support CAFM/helpdesk, monitor utilities, and ensure asset data accuracy while upholding strict safety standards.

Candidates should have 18th Edition wiring knowledge and relevant inspection/certification qualifications. Excellent communication and ability to work under pressure are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Electrical/Mechanical Engineer with relevant experience.
• 18th Edition IEE: Wiring and Installation desirable.
• C&G 2391 test and inspection; BS 7671:2001 for inspection, testing and certification.
• Strong communication skills across all staff levels; proactive in delivering client services.
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver to client within deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Operate all systems within the facility in a competent, effective and efficient manner; provide concise technical reports.
• Complete PPMs and Reactive works across the sites.
• Coordinate Specialist Vendors visits with site FMs approvals.
• Attend and deliver weekly operations meetings and client meetings as requested.
• Support CAFM systems and helpdesk, maintaining green SLA/KPI adherence.
• Ensure asset database is correct and up to date.
• Monitor utilities usage and report abnormalities or energy savings.
• Manage onsite critical spares; maintain site stock register and conduct monthly audits.
• Escalate critical equipment issues with reports and recommendations.
• Promote a Safety First culture aligned with JLL Cardinal Rules.

Work Experience: 1+ Years Experience Location: Slough

• Operate all systems within the facility in a competent, effective and efficient manner. Making recommendations for improvement and providing concise technical reports when required.
• Completing PPM’s and Reactive works across the sites
• Working closely with the engineering team you should ensure that for Specialist Vendors visits have been prepared and approved by the site FMs.
• Attend and deliver weekly operations meetings, client meetings as requested.
• Supporting CAFM systems and helpdesk, keeping within “green” SLA’s & KPI’s.
• Ensure the asset database and are correct and up to date.
• To monitor utilities usage and report to the Account Team on any abnormalities or energy savings.
• Management of onsite critical spares including maintaining site stock register and monthly auditing.
• Ensure all critical equipment operational issues are brought to the Customers attention immediately and provide all relevant reports with recommendations.
• Proactively promote a “Safety First” culture in line with the JLL Cardinal Rules of Safety are adhered to by all engineering teams.

Personal Specification

• Electrical/Mechanical Engineer.
• 18th Edition IEE: Wiring and Installation desirable.
• C&G 2391 test and inspection; BS 7671:2001 for inspection, testing and certification.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to deal with all levels of staff.
• Proactive in achieving the highest standard of operation.
• Have good IT and report writing skills.
• Ability to work under pressure whilst remaining calm, clear thinking and able to deliver the required services to the client within given time constraints.
• Individuals who can demonstrate commitment and previous experience; but not meet all the required technical qualifications may be considered subject to approval.
• Demonstrate a willingness to attend on and off-site training for MEP assets, this may require nights away from home due to the nature of the specialist training such as HV Authorised Person Training.
• A high level of initiative, with drive to continuously improve the operation.
• A smart presentable corporate appearance
• Advanced communication skills with a full understanding of customer needs & expectations
• Ability to comprehend and act upon both verbal and written instructions
• Enthusiasm and demonstration of pro-activity, diligence, and alertness, with the willingness to participate in appropriate internal training programmes.
