Trant Engineering Ltd seeks a Site Civil Engineer to join its project delivery team on National Grid schemes across the UK. You will manage on-site civil works, coordinate earthworks, drainage and structures, and ensure safety, quality and programme compliance.

Qualifications

• CSCS card required.
• Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Practical site-based setting out experience across earthworks, drainage, foundations and structures.
• Experience reading and interpreting civil drawings, specifications and method statements.
• Experience coordinating and supervising subcontractors and site teams.
• Experience working to health, safety, quality and environmental standards on site.

Responsibilities

• Set out and inspect civil works including earthworks, foundations, drainage, retaining structures, concrete and steel structures.
• Review and interpret civil drawings, specifications, method statements, and construction programmes.
• Support setting out and verification of civil works on site.
• Identify and report technical issues, non-conformances or design discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate site records including daily logs and inspection reports.
