Job summary

Slicker Recycling Ltd is seeking a Site Chemist to support daily operations at our hazardous waste transfer facility. The role involves sampling, testing, and analysis to identify waste deliveries, while maintaining lab equipment and ensuring regulatory compliance across Health, Safety and Environmental standards.

The successful candidate will work with Operations, Compliance, Technical and Commercial teams to promote continuous improvement and uphold Slicker values of Smart, Honest, Reliable,

Qualifications

• Qualified to degree or HNC level in Chemistry or an associated subject.
• Strong numerical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated with ability to prioritise in a time critical processing environment.
• Willingness to work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Sample testing and analysis to identify waste deliveries.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental compliance on site.
• Process, receive, test, and dispatch wastes in line with procedures.
• Record results and generate data for traceability.
• Operate forklift to move waste when required.
