Job summary

WR Environmental is seeking a Site Chemist to join our waste management team in Kidderminster. The successful candidate will hold a degree in Chemistry or a related field and will oversee the safe operation of the site, waste handling and compliance with permits and regulations.

Key duties include monitoring quality, preparing hazardous waste for processing, and ensuring traceability of all materials from cradle to grave, with a clear focus on safety, accuracy and timely reporting. DOE applies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field is essential.
• Experience as Site Chemist or similar is desirable.
• Experience in the Waste Management industry is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with site permits and waste acceptance regulations.
• Oversee safe operation of the site and waste handling.
• Monitor quality and compliance, and submit non-conformance reports and invoices on time.
• Preparing and prioritising hazardous waste materials.
• Ensure all waste that are processed/repacked have an associated paperwork trail so they can be traced from cradle to grave.

Location: Kidderminster, UK

Salary: up to £34,000 (DOE)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 7:00am-4:00pm

My client is looking for a Site Chemist to join their team based in Kidderminster. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science or Similar, and have previous experience in the Waste Management Industry.
