Job summary

PRS is seeking a Caretaker in Kirby on a contract to end December 2026. The role covers general site management, maintenance, porterage, security and reception with a customer-focused approach. Shifts include 6am–2pm and 10am–6pm, with occasional weekends and overtime as required.

A safe, proactive presence on site is essential to meet H&S, COSHH and contractual standards. Responsibilities include monitoring safety, signing in contractors, performing monthly meter readings and coordinating with

Qualifications

Front-facing customer service attitude.
Ability to follow safety and COSHH guidelines.
Experience with basic repairs and maintenance tasks.
Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities.
Willingness to undertake training and overtime when required.

Responsibilities

General site management including maintenance, porterage, security, and reception.
Maintain a customer-facing presence and service attitude.
Ensure building security and sign in contractors in visitor book.
Carry out reactive tasks as directed by Site Manager and use own initiative.
Carry out meter readings monthly and perform fire alarm testing (L8).
Manage external contractors on site per company and H&S guidelines.
Carry out minor works and basic repairs, e.g., painting and putting up notice boards.
Adhere to COSHH guidelines and safe storage of chemicals.
Complete overtime out of hours as required and undertake relevant training.
