ASVA is seeking a practical and reliable Site Caretaker for the Calanais Visitor Centre on the Isle of Lewis. This hands-on role combines cleaning, basic maintenance and grounds care to keep the heritage site welcoming and safe for visitors and staff.

The 20-hour-per-week contract runs on a fixed term until 31 March 2027, with the possibility of extension. The role involves outdoor work and physical tasks, with hours typically 8am–12 noon and occasional Saturdays.

Salary: £15,413 per annum

Hours: 20 hours per week over 5 days

About the Role

About You

• A reliable, flexible approach and pride in maintaining high standards.

The role involves physical work, including lifting, carrying and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Working Hours

20 hours per week over 5 days, potentially including Saturdays. Preferred working hours are 8am-12 noon, although flexibility is available for the right candidate.
