Job summary

Essar Energy Transition seeks a Cost and Performance Engineer at Stanlow Manufacturing Complex, Ellesmere Port, for cost oversight across refinery operations. You will deliver budgets, forecasts and performance analyses, with focus on variance, efficiency, and contractor costs.

Qualifications

• Degree in QS/Business/Finance or equivalent
• Experience in cost management, budgeting and reporting in maintenance/turnaround
• Knowledge of SAP and advanced Excel preferred
• Commercial mindset with continuous-improvement focus and stakeholder management

Responsibilities

• Deliver cost analysis, budget control and performance reporting across Refinery Manufacturing
• Analyse and present cost data from SAP and other systems to support decisions
• Produce and update cost reports, forecasts and performance metrics
• Provide challenge and assurance on costs, performance and budget management
• Support turnaround events with cost forecasts and cost allocations
• Act as SAP cost-management SME and support stakeholders
• Develop dashboards and reporting tools to improve cost visibility
• Collaborate with maintenance, turnaround, finance and operations teams
• Support audit, HSSE and KPI reporting requirements
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements across the refinery
• Support digitalisation projects to enhance reporting and performance
• Provide support during turnaround periods with extended hours as needed
• Hold a full UK driving licence and travel across site as required
