Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley in the UK seeks an experienced MEP Engineer to join our site-based delivery teams. You will help shape mechanical, electrical and process systems across water projects, improving flood defences, treatment works and biodiversity initiatives.

The role blends hands-on commissioning with design integration, stakeholder collaboration and rigorous safety standards. You’ll plan MEP activities, supervise site works, and contribute to successful handover with thorough documentation

Qualifications

• ONC / HNC in Mechanical, Electrical or Process Engineering (Suitable equivalent experience will also be considered).
• Experience in the water industry is desirable and beneficial.
• Understanding MEP engineering principles across civil project lifecycles.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to work with project teams including other MEP engineers, subcontractors and clients.

Responsibilities

• Hybrid role combining hands-on commissioning of instrumentation, drives and processes with meetings and programme reviews.
• Integrate design, construction and commissioning of water plant/equipment using MEP skills.
• Plan and programme MEP aspects with design, operations and subcontractors through installation, testing and handover.
• Oversee subcontractors, ensure installations meet standards, conduct testing and review assessments; supervise electrical safety; create commissioning plans and records.
• Contribute to completion and handover via meetings, documentation and plant reliability reviews.
