Job summary

adi Group requires a Site Based HVAC Engineer to maintain and optimise chiller and HVAC systems at a Northamptonshire site. You will coordinate planned and reactive maintenance, oversee contractors, and ensure FGAS compliance and safety standards.

The role demands hands-on experience with industrial HVAC, a valid F-GAS certificate, and 18th Edition IET wiring knowledge. The position offers full-time, on-site work with opportunities for improvement projects and on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical engineering competence with experience of maintaining chiller plants.
• Hands-on experience with HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• F-GAS certification and compliance with 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations.
• Health & Safety qualifications (IOSH/CSCS) and working within CMMS environments.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and lead day-to-day planned and reactive maintenance work.
• Manage and oversee contractors delivering specialist services.
• Support plant and equipment improvements to enhance safety, efficiency, and performance.
• Maintain FGAS logbooks and ensure compliance with legislative and site regulations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in maintenance practices and asset reliability.
• Participate in on-call duties and escalation processes as required.
• Support minor project works and capital improvement initiatives.

Location – Site based in Northamptonshire

About the Role

As a site-based HVAC Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of non-core engineering and facilities services, ensuring the upkeep, maintenance, and statutory compliance of site assets. Reporting to the Site FM Manager, you will work closely with site teams and contractors to provide a professional, efficient, and safe service.

Specifically, your key responsibilities will include:

• Plan, coordinate, and lead day-to-day planned and reactive maintenance work.
• Manage and oversee contractors delivering specialist services.
• Support plant and equipment improvements to enhance safety, efficiency, and performance.
• Maintain FGAS logbooks and ensure compliance with legislative and site regulations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in maintenance practices, asset reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Participate in on-call duties and escalation processes as required.
• Support minor project works and capital improvement initiatives.
• Ensure Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards are maintained at all times .
