Job summary

HFL Building Solutions Group is seeking a Static Handyman to oversee day-to-day operation, maintenance, and repair of building services across the site in Liverpool. You will report to the Contract Manager and ensure the safe, efficient operation of facilities and plant equipment.

This role covers a wide range of planned and reactive maintenance activities, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC support, with supervision of subcontractors on site and rigorous record-keeping in line with SFG20

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance is required.
• Desirable: 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations qualification, recognised apprenticeship, and experience in a commercial maintenance environment.

Responsibilities

• Emergency lighting maintenance.
• L8 water hygiene monitoring.
• AHU servicing and maintenance.
• Fan coil unit servicing.
• Pump servicing and maintenance.
• Minor electrical works.
• Basic plumbing repairs (taps, flush valves, siphons, waste pipes).
• Maintaining electronic and paper-based maintenance records.
• supervising on-site subcontractors.

As a Static Handyman, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and repair of building services systems across the site. Reporting directly to the Contract Manager, you'll help ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of all facilities and plant equipment.

As a Static Handyman, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and repair of building services systems across the site. Reporting directly to the Contract Manager, you'll help ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of all facilities and plant equipment.

Main duties and responsibilities:

You'll be involved in a wide range of planned and reactive maintenance activities, including:

• Emergency lighting maintenance
• L8 water hygiene monitoring
• AHU servicing and maintenance
• Fan coil unit servicing
• Pump servicing and maintenance
• Minor electrical works
• Basic plumbing repairs, including taps, flush valves, siphons, and waste pipework
• BEMS/BMES system monitoring and control panel interrogations
• Completing statutory PPMs in line with SFG20 requirements
• Maintaining accurate electronic and paper-based maintenance records
• Housekeeping of plant rooms and service areas
• Supervising and coordinating subcontractors on site.
  
  

Skills & Qualifications:

Essential:

• Experience in Building Maintenance role.
