Job summary

Hollybank Trustees Ltd in Liverpool is seeking a Static Handyman to operate, maintain, and repair building services across the site. You will report to the Contract Manager and ensure safe, compliant operation of facilities and plant equipment.

The role covers planned and reactive maintenance, including L8 water hygiene, AHU servicing, pump maintenance, basic electrical and plumbing tasks, BEMS monitoring, and supervising subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Experience in Building Maintenance role.
• Recognised apprenticeship.
• Experience within a commercial maintenance environment.

Responsibilities

• L8 water hygiene monitoring.
• AHU servicing and maintenance.
• Pump servicing and maintenance.
• Minor electrical works.
• Basic plumbing repairs, including taps, flush valves, siphons, and waste pipework.
• BEMS/BMES system monitoring and control panel interrogations.
• Completing statutory PPMs in line with SFG20 requirements.
• Maintaining accurate electronic and paper-based maintenance records.
• Housekeeping of plant rooms and service areas.
• Supervising and coordinating subcontractors on site.

Purpose and objectives of the role:

As a Static Handyman, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and repair of building services systems across the site. Reporting directly to the Contract Manager, you'll help ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of all facilities and plant equipment.

Main duties and responsibilities:

You'll be involved in a wide range of planned and reactive maintenance activities, including:

• L8 water hygiene monitoring
• AHU servicing and maintenance
• Pump servicing and maintenance
• Minor electrical works
• Basic plumbing repairs, including taps, flush valves, siphons, and waste pipework
• BEMS/BMES system monitoring and control panel interrogations
• Completing statutory PPMs in line with SFG20 requirements
• Maintaining accurate electronic and paper-based maintenance records
