Job summary

Morson Human Resources Limited in Scotland is recruiting a Procurement Manager for a Scotstoun-based defence client on a 12-month contract; on-site work is required at least 2 days per week.

You will manage end-to-end procurement for infrastructure construction and capital projects, develop sourcing strategies, oversee contract and supplier performance, and ensure compliance with NEC/JCT contracts.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in construction supply chain procurement.
• Detailed knowledge of NEC and JCT construction contracts.
• Experience with procurement strategy and policy.
• Experience in contract and supplier performance management.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement processes including tender docs and evaluations.
• Support sourcing across infrastructure construction and capital projects.
• Advise project teams to align procurement with budgets and programmes.
• Develop sourcing strategies within category frameworks.
• Manage contract change, disputes and close-out activities.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Maintain procurement records and supplier performance data.
• Report procurement and supplier performance to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with project and commercial teams to drive value.
• Mentor less experienced team members.
