Job summary

Morris & Spottiswood Group in Glasgow is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager for a full-time, permanent role. You will oversee end-to-end delivery of multiple contracts, ensuring safety, quality, programme and commercial targets are met while maintaining strong client relationships.

The role offers a hybrid working model with site travel across Scotland. You will lead project teams, manage procurement and budgets, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards, reporting to the

Qualifications

• Extensive experience managing multiple projects concurrently.
• Experience in a blue-chip contractor environment is preferred.
• Strong leadership and senior-level line management capability.

Responsibilities

• Managing the end-to-end delivery of projects, ensuring safety, programme, quality and commercial objectives are met.
• Acting as a key point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and clear communication throughout each project lifecycle.
• Leading and coordinating project teams, including site managers and subcontractors, while supporting staff development.
• Working with Commercial teams to manage contract finances, budgets and cost controls.
• Overseeing procurement strategies, subcontractor management and materials planning with Procurement.
• Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company H&S systems.
• Planning programmes at tender stage and project outset using construction programming software.
• Chairing client, subcontractor and internal meetings and ensuring timely decision-making.
