Job summary

Thorn Baker Facilities Management in Leeds is seeking an experienced Cleaning Supervisor to oversee a single site. This permanent, site-based role offers the chance to lead a small team and maintain the highest cleaning standards on a day shift.

You will supervise daily operations, manage a team of 4 cleaners, conduct quality inspections, handle rotas and holidays, and ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Cleaning Supervisor or Team Leader.
• Strong people management and leadership skills.
• High standards and excellent attention to detail.
• Good organisational and communication skills.
• A proactive, hands-on approach to managing a cleaning operation.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety and cleaning best practices.

Responsibilities

• Supervising the day-to-day cleaning operation across the site.
• Leading, motivating and supporting a team of 4 cleaners.
• Ensuring all areas are maintained to the highest cleaning standards.
• Carrying out regular quality inspections and audits.
• Managing rotas, holidays and staff cover.
• Training new starters and supporting ongoing development.
• Maintaining stock levels and ordering cleaning consumables when required.
• Ensuring Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times.
• Building positive relationships with the client and responding to any operational requirements.
