Job summary

PW Construction Recruitment seeks an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or experienced Commercial Assistant for a major Portsmouth project. Site-based role on a 21-month fixed-term contract with a salary up to £42,000 per annum.

You will work within the project commercial team, supporting procurement, cost estimates, and subcontractor management, with exposure to JCT contracts and CVR reporting.

Qualifications

• At least one year's experience in a construction company.
• HNC/HND or degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Knowledge of construction contracts, preferably JCT, is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support procurement of subcontractors, suppliers and materials.
• Assist with cost estimates and procurement information.
• Assist with subcontractor accounts, valuations and payments.
• Monitor project expenditure against budgets and variations.
• Prepare monthly CVR reports and cost reporting.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, site teams and suppliers.
