This is a genuinely varied position where no two days are the same. Depending on your shift, you could be opening or securing the school, completing minor repairs and decorating, carrying out site and health & safety checks, setting up rooms and events, coordinating deliveries and contractors, maintaining the grounds or supporting community users of the school's facilities. You do not need previous experience working within a school or specific qualifications. The key thing is that you are practical, willing to get stuck in and keen to learn. The school invests heavily in its staff, with training available across areas including health & safety, first aid, asbestos, Legionella and other job‑specific requirements. Pasted markdown
There is also a genuine long‑term career path. The wider team includes both a Site Manager and Estates Manager, and the school has historically looked internally when progression opportunities become available.
