A leading independent school in Ewell is seeking a Site Assistant to maintain its beautiful grounds and buildings. The role involves varied maintenance tasks, ensuring a safe environment for students and staff. Candidates should possess relevant experience and strong communication skills. The position offers flexible working hours and 25 days of holiday per year.
We are currently seeking to fill the position of Site Assistant.
The Site Assistant will work closely with the rest of the Site Team to maintain the School buildings and grounds to a high standard and ensure a safe, secure, and attractive working environment for pupils and staff. The school is known for its beautiful grounds, including the 200-year-old Castle building and the old vicarage, Glyn House, located in Church Street, as well as the more prominent Chessington Lodge and the new 6th form facility. Although this role is based at the Senior School, the work will span across all four sites in Ewell Village.
Potential candidates should have previous experience in a maintenance role or possess relevant transferable skills. The ability to work independently and as part of a team, along with carrying out varied maintenance and repair tasks, is essential. Good communication skills are also required.
The working hours will follow a rota pattern, with regular hours of 07:00 - 15:00, 10:00 - 18:00, and 12:00 - 22:00, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility needed. The holiday entitlement is 25 days per year plus Bank Holidays. Attendance at school open events and occasional Saturday lettings is also expected.

Applicants will undergo child protection screening appropriate to the role, including checks with previous employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.
