Job summary

Bimplus, an industry-leading Tier 1 contractor, is delivering a major highways project in Didcot, Oxfordshire. As Site Agent, you will lead on-site operations for a £35m package, working with the Project Manager to ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and within budget.

You will mentor site engineers, coordinate resources, and ensure compliance with IMS, HSEQ and contractual requirements, while promoting a collaborative culture and opportunities for career progression on this

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Site Agent within the highways and/or public realm sectors, delivering earthworks and/or structures packages.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety and CDM regulations.
• Experience managing a standalone site or a section of a larger project.
• Strong communication, organisational and leadership skills.
• CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid at Work and a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Managing, mentoring and developing Site Engineers and Section Engineers
• Supporting the Project Manager in planning and delivering the construction phase
• Managing and allocating project resources efficiently
• Preparing, reviewing and implementing work package plans and management plans
• Monitoring subcontractors, suppliers and contractual requirements
• Working with the planning team to ensure accurate programme data
• Ensuring full compliance with health, safety, quality and environmental standards
• Leading and promoting a strong safety culture across the site team
• Chairing and attending site meetings, completing site diaries and daily briefings
• Supporting quality assurance, environmental management and project close‑out activities
• Working in accordance with the Integrated Management System (IMS). This is a hands‑on leadership role offering real influence over site performance and project outcomes.

Your new role
