About the Role

Our client is expanding its construction and project delivery teams following the award of several projects across its AMP8 water framework programme.

As a Site Agent, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of a project or designated section of work, overseeing activities from design and construction through to commissioning and final handover.

Reporting to the Head of Construction or Operations Manager, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with the required specifications, programme and budget. You will play a key role in maintaining high standards of quality, commercial control and customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction professional to contribute to major water and wastewater infrastructure projects across the North West.

About the Client

Our client is an established design and build provider specialising in the water sector. With a workforce of more than 1,400 employees across eight regional centres, the organisation delivers projects through long-term water sector frameworks, joint ventures and strategic alliances.

Our client is committed to creating an inclusive working environment where employees are encouraged to develop their skills, share ideas and progress their careers. It also supports initiatives focused on positive mental health in the workplace and helping former Armed Forces personnel transition into civilian employment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote exceptional health and safety standards and ensure quality requirements are consistently achieved across direct and subcontracted workforces.
  • Implement the Business Management System throughout the project lifecycle, from tender handover to final completion.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, joint venture partners and suppliers.
  • Ensure sufficient suitably trained personnel are available and understand their roles and responsibilities.
  • Plan, monitor and control project delivery, including reviewing and approving Project Execution Plans.
  • Ensure detailed construction plans and method statements are prepared, reviewed and approved before work begins.
  • Maintain accurate project records and ensure all documentation is complete and available at contract completion.
  • Report site non-conformities and identify associated costs, taking appropriate action to resolve issues.
  • Manage commercial aspects proactively, providing accurate cost forecasts and estimates.
  • Apply project management best practice from initial scheme development through to end-user acceptance.
  • Monitor project risks, opportunities, issues, budgets and programme performance.
  • Support continuous professional development and remain up to date with industry developments and innovations.
  • Implement quality, safety and environmental policies, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and targets.
  • Maintain a strong customer focus, enhancing client satisfaction throughout project delivery.
  • Apply practical knowledge of the technical disciplines involved in water and wastewater design and build projects.
  • Represent the project and organisation professionally, fostering constructive working relationships and supporting effective collaboration.
What Our Client is Looking For
