Job summary

RGB Recruitment are delivering a long-term freelance PAYE opportunity for a Site Agent on a major highways civil engineering scheme in Somerset. You will lead day-to-day site operations, supervise subcontractors and ensure safety, quality and delivery against programme.

Ideal candidates will have proven experience on highways projects, strong earthworks and drainage knowledge, and hold SMSTS and CSCS cards with availability to interview next week.

Qualifications

• Experience as Site Agent on highways or major civil engineering projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of earthworks, drainage and infrastructure works.
• Experience with main contractors and managing subcontractors.
• Excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills.
• SMSTS and a CSCS card are required.
• Availability to interview and commence work at short notice.

RGB Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Site Agent to join an established main contractor delivering a significant highways and civil engineering scheme in Somerset.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Agent seeking a long-term freelance assignment, with an immediate requirement and interviews taking place next week.

The Role Working as part of an established project delivery team, you will be responsible for:

• Managing day-to-day site operations and coordinating construction activities.
• Supervising subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered safely and efficiently.
• Monitoring progress against programme and identifying potential delays.
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance.
• Coordinating with engineers, supervisors and the wider project management team.
• Managing site reporting, documentation and technical queries.
• Supporting the successful delivery of key civil engineering packages.
