Job summary

RGB Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Site Agent for a freelance PAYE role in Somerset, delivering a major highways and civil engineering scheme. You will manage day-to-day site operations, supervise subcontractors, and ensure safety and quality across the works.

The role requires strong knowledge of earthworks and drainage, proven experience with main contractors, and excellent leadership and communication skills. Availability to interview next week is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience as Site Agent on highways or major civil projects.
• Strong knowledge of earthworks, drainage and infrastructure works.
• Experience with main contractors and managing subcontractors.
• Excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills.
• SMSTS and a CSCS card are required.
• Available to interview next week and start at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations and coordinate construction activities.
• Supervise subcontractors and ensure works are delivered safely and efficiently.
• Monitor progress against programme and identify delays.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance.
• Coordinate with engineers, supervisors and the wider project team.
• Manage site reporting, documentation and technical queries.
• Support delivery of key civil engineering packages.
