Job summary

RTL Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Site Agent to lead HDD tunnelling operations on a major civil engineering project in the United Kingdom. The role focuses on safe delivery, on-time performance, quality, and coordination of site activities.

You will oversee Site Engineers, manage technical documentation, and ensure compliance with RAMS, ITPs, permits and TQs. A CSCS Card and SMSTS certification are essential for this position.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Site Agent on HDD tunnelling or major civil infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of HDD drilling, shaft construction, utilities and heavy civil works.
• Experience producing and managing RAMS, ITPs, permits and Technical Queries (TQs).
• Valid CSCS Card and SMSTS certification are essential.

Responsibilities

My client, a leading civil engineering contractor, is seeking an experienced Site Agent to join their team on a major Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) Tunnelling Project.

Site Agent Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the safe, efficient, and successful delivery of HDD tunnelling works on site.
• Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are delivered in accordance with programme, budget, quality, and health & safety requirements.
• Manage Site Engineers, providing technical support and leadership throughout the project.
• Ensure all HDD drilling, shaft construction, pipe installation, and associated civil engineering works are completed to specification.
• Produce, review, and manage project documentation, including RAMS, ITPs, programmes, permits, and Technical Queries (TQs).

Site Agent Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Site Agent on HDD, tunnelling, trenchless technology, or major civil engineering infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of Horizontal Directional Drilling, shaft construction, utilities, and heavy civil engineering works.
• Experience producing and managing project documentation, including RAMS, ITPs, permits, and Technical Queries (TQs).
• Valid CSCS Card. SMSTS is essential.
