Job summary

Candidates should have Civil Engineering qualifications or extensive heavy civils experience, SMSTS preferred, and a clean UK driving licence. Car allowance and pension are included as part of this opportunity.

Qualifications

• HNC, HND, or Degree in Civil Engineering (or minimum 10 years heavy civils experience)
• CSCS Card (minimum Gold or Black)
• First Aid at Work Certificate
• Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) qualification
• RAMS and CPPs familiarity for NEC contracts and weekly programming

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations across Teesside highways, cycle lane infrastructure and public realm improvements (£2.5m–£6m schemes)
• Develop RAMS, CPPs and manage 3-week lookaheads under NEC frameworks
• Direct on-site leadership of ground crews and subcontractors across local authority schemes

Salary - Up to £62,000 + £7k car allowance

Are you a Site Agent with a solid background in local authority highways schemes looking to lead multi-million-pound public realm and infrastructure projects across Teesside?

We at Randstad are seeking a Site Agent to lead daily operations across regional highways, cycle lane infrastructure, and public realm improvements (£2.5m - £6m schemes) for a premier Tier-1 Main Contractor with top-tier NEPO framework status. As the Site Agent, you will be running site ground teams, developing RAMS, managing 3-week lookaheads, and driving delivery under NEC contract frameworks.

The successful candidate will have:

Proven track record delivering local authority highways, public realm, cycleways, or civil engineering schemes (£100k-£5m+)
