Job summary

RTL Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Site Agent to deliver a water treatment scheme in Kent. The role involves leading day-to-day site operations, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring works meet programme and specification requirements.

You will manage RAMS, permits and site records, while maintaining health and safety standards. A strong civil engineering background and water sector experience are essential for this hands-on leadership position.

Qualifications

• Water treatment or water infrastructure project experience essential.
• Strong civil engineering background preferred.
• Experience managing subcontractors and site teams.
• Good understanding of RAMS, health & safety and quality requirements.
• IT literate with ability to use site software and reports.
• Full UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead toolbox talks and ensure daily site operations run to plan.
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders to manage expectations.
• Oversee RAMS, permits and site documentation and records.
• Coordinate works across the water treatment site to maintain programme.
• Supervise subcontractors and site teams and monitor quality control.
• Report progress to the Project Manager and support the wider team.

My client are a national civil engineering contractor who are currently seeking a Site Agent to help deliver a water treatment scheme in Kent, with an immediate start available. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Site Agent with a strong water and civil engineering background to join an established project team.

Site Agent Responsibilities:

• Toolbox talks
• Client liaison
• Stakeholder liaison
• Health and safety compliance
• Ordering materials
• Managing day-to-day site operations
• Supervising subcontractors and site teams
• Coordinating works across the water treatment site
• Ensuring works are delivered on programme and to specification
• Managing RAMS, permits and site documentation
• Overseeing quality control, inspections and site records
• Reporting progress to the Project Manager
• Supporting the wider project team with programme delivery

Site Agent Requirements:

• Black or Gold CSCS
• SMSTS
• Previous experience working on water treatment or water infrastructure projects is essential
• Strong civil engineering background
• Experience managing subcontractors and site teams
• Good understanding of RAMS, health and safety and quality requirements
• IT literate
• Full UK driving licence
