Job summary

Ganymede is seeking a Site Agent for a major water infrastructure project in Farnborough, Hampshire. You will manage live-site delivery, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure RAMS, permits, and programme targets are met.

The role requires NEC contract experience, strong leadership on site, and a focus on safety and quality. 12+ month live programme with up to £400/day outside IR35 and on-site duties.

Qualifications

• Proven Site Agent or Sub Agent experience on civil/water infrastructure projects.
• Solid understanding of NEC contract processes at site level.
• Strong subcontractor management skills.
• Water sector experience is advantageous.
• SMSTS certification required.
• CSCS Black or Gold Card required.
• First Aid at Work certification required.
• EUSR Water Hygiene certification required before start.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations across allocated schemes.
• Coordinate gangs and subcontractors on site.
• Review and approve RAMS and method statements.
• Issue permits and drive the programme.
• Maintain quality and safety standards on site.
• Serve as the on-site presence when PM is on other projects.
• Manage NEC contract communications at site level (early warnings, compensation events).
• Keep site records and diaries for commercial needs.

Site Agent - Water Infrastructure Farnborough, Hampshire | Contract | Up to £400 per day | Outside IR35 (Subject to Determination) | 12 Months+

A leading Tier 1 contractor is looking for a capable, experienced Site Agent to join their delivery team on a major water infrastructure framework in the Farnborough area. This is a working role on a live programme - you will be on site, managing delivery, coordinating subcontractors, and making sure things happen the way they are supposed to. If you are the kind of Site Agent who leads from the front and takes ownership, this is worth reading.

The role

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will manage day-to-day site operations across your allocated schemes, coordinating gangs and subcontractors, reviewing and approving RAMS and method statements, issuing permits, driving programme, and maintaining the quality and safety standards the client expects. You will be the constant presence on site when the PM is across multiple projects, and the team will look to you to set the tone.

You will manage NEC contract communications at site level, including early warnings and compensation events, and keep records and diaries to a standard that supports the commercial team.

What you need

• Proven Site Agent or Sub Agent experience on civil engineering or water infrastructure projects.
