Job summary

Carrington West is recruiting a Freelance Site Agent for a highways earthworks package near Chichester. Immediate start on a 4-week contract with a strong extension likelihood as Phase 1 progresses.

You will manage day-to-day site operations, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure safety, quality, and programme compliance on a major highways earthworks package.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Site Agent on highways projects.
• Strong earthworks experience is essential.
• Valid CSCS Managers Card.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations on a major highways earthworks package.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with programme.
• Coordinate subcontractors, site teams, and suppliers.
• Monitor progress, quality, and HSEQ compliance.
• Liaise with the Project Manager, Site Engineers, and client representatives.
• Resolve site issues and maintain accurate site records and reporting.

Rate: £500 per day

Start: Immediate

Duration: Initial 4-week contract, with a strong likelihood of extension as Phase 1 of the works progresses.

Payment: Umbrella PAYE or Ltd Company (subject to status)
