Job summary

RTL Group is seeking an experienced Site Agent to join its growing civil engineering team in Luton, delivering water, wastewater, infrastructure and environmental projects. You will take full responsibility for planning, management and delivery of schemes, ensuring safety, on programme and within budget.

Immediate start, Outside IR35, with scope for longer-term projects. Essential requirements include SMSTS, CSCS Black Card, NVQ Level 6 (or equivalent) and a 3-day First Aid at Work, with

• Proven experience as Site Agent in Civil Engineering, Water, Utilities or Infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of CPPs, RAMS, ITPs, budgets and programmes.
• Excellent Health & Safety knowledge and compliance.

• Plan, programme and resource works to meet milestones and monitor progress.
• Lead site briefings, supervise site teams, subcontractors and supply chain partners; ensure quality and safety compliance.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Site Agent to join a growing civil engineering team delivering water, wastewater, infrastructure and environmental projects in Luton. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the planning, management and delivery of schemes, ensuring projects are completed safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards. This role offers an immediate start Outside IR35 with opportunities to continue onto further long‑term projects following the initial assignment. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage Construction Phase Plans (CPPs), RAMS, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), programmes and project budgets. Plan, programme and resource works effectively to achieve project milestones. Monitor project progress against the programme and implement corrective actions where required. Ensure full compliance with all company procedures and statutory requirements. Conduct site inspections, audits and toolbox talks. Brief site
  teams on RAMS, safe systems of work and project-specific requirements. Participate in regular SHEQ audits and client safety inspections. Ensure works are delivered efficiently and within agreed financial targets. Maintain accurate records of site activities, resources and project performance. Quality Assurance Implement and manage quality assurance procedures. Ensure works are delivered in accordance with specifications, drawings and contractual requirements. Oversee inspections, testing, commissioning and project handover activities. Maintain comprehensive project records and documentation. Manage site teams, subcontractors and supply chain partners. Liaise with Project Managers, Engineers, Supervisors and Client Representatives. Lead regular site briefings and progress meetings.
