A major healthcare provider in the UK is seeking a Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse for a 9-month secondment on an elective surgical ward. This role requires current Band 5 nurses aiming to advance their careers, as well as more experienced Band 6 and 7 nurses. Candidates will assist in operational management and contribute to exceptional patient care in a supportive team environment. The position offers a salary between £38,682 and £46,580 pro rata.

Ward F7 at the Wythenshawe site of Manchester Foundation Trust is looking to recruit a band 6 sister/charge nurse for a 9‑month secondment on our elective surgical ward. This exciting opportunity is open to band 5 nurses who are aspiring to take the next step and learn new skills. Current band 6 and 7 nurses are also welcome to apply to join our welcoming ward on F7 and develop new expertise in elective surgery. Our general surgical directorate has a reputation for the highest standards of clinical care.
Currently the ward looks after inpatient elective and emergency patients across a range of specialties, including Plastics, ENT, Maxfax and Urology.

We are looking for an experienced nurse who is passionate about patient safety and the delivery of exceptional quality care to our elective surgical patients. You will be an aspiring leader with an accessible and visible approach for patients, relatives and colleagues. You will assist the Ward Manager with the operational management of the team working on the ward and develop a culture of continuous improvement focused on the patient journey and clinical outcomes.
