The Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle, part of Circle Health Group, is seeking a Sister - Charge Nurse for the Critical Care Team. This is a full-time role at 37.5 hours per week with a flexible shift pattern.

The role leads clinical care, coordinates staffing, and mentors junior staff to maintain high standards of patient care within a busy critical care environment.

Qualificações

• Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration.
• Significant post-registration experience in an acute or relevant specialty.
• Experience leading and supervising a team within a clinical environment.
• Strong clinical decision-making, communication, and coordination skills.
• Commitment to high standards of patient care and professional development.

Responsabilidades

• Provide hands-on clinical care as senior point of support for deteriorating patients.
• Coordinate daily clinical activity and staffing to ensure safe care.
• Promote nursing standards through supervision and coaching.
• Allocate and supervise staff during shifts with clear roles.
• Support development and appraisal of junior nurses and HCAs.
• Contribute to induction and ongoing staff development.

The Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle Is part of Circle Health Group, Britain’s leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.

We have an opportunity for a Sister - Charge Nurse to join their team of staff in the Critical Care Team.

This is a full- time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role include:

• Provide hands-on clinical care, acting as a senior point of support for complex or deteriorating patients.
• Coordinate daily clinical activity and ensure safe staffing levels, skill mix, and continuity of care.
• Promote high standards of nursing practice through supervision, coaching, and role modelling.
• Allocate and supervise staff during shifts, ensuring responsibilities are clearly defined and patient needs are met.
• Support the development, appraisal, and competency assessment of junior nurses, HCAs, and students.
• Contribute to the induction and ongoing development of new staff, ensuring adherence to clinical standards and policies.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:
